Eastern San Joaquin Groundwater Authority - Stakeholder Workshops
The Eastern San Joaquin Groundwater Authority (ESJGWA) is in the process of updating its Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP). There are 16 Groundwater Sustainability Agencies in the Eastern San Joaquin Groundwater Subbasin. The GSP is being updated to ensure that the underlying groundwater basin is sustainably managed for future generations. Stakeholders include local residents, farmers, businesses, representatives of the environment. The GSP Update must be submitted to the State Department of Water Resources in January 2025.
The ESJGWA is hosting a series of three workshops this Summer to provide input on the contents of the GSP including various requirements, activities, and implementation programs pursuant to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). The ESJGWA cordially invites you to be an active participant on the GSP Updated.

- Stakeholder Workshop #1 - Wednesday, June 26 @ 4:30 pm - Topics: Workshop Ground Rules/Charter, Presentation on SGMA Requirements, and Presentation and Discussion on the ESJGWA Draft Domestic Well Mitigation Program
- Stakeholder Workshop #2 - Wednesday, July 17 @ 4:30 pm - Introduction to the Open Meeting Act (Brown Act), and Presentation and Discussion on the Draft ESJGWA Communications and Engagement Plan
- Open House Presentation on Public Review Draft Groundwater Sustainability Plan - Wednesday, September 25 @ 5:30 pm - Groundwater Sustainability Agency Open House; presentation to begin at 6:00 pm
